About the WCPSS Regional Networking Academy

Since July 2000 Wake County Public Schools has been working in partnership with Cisco Systems to develop local academies for the Cisco Networking Academy Program. The primary focus of these academies is to prepare students as network specialists, IT technicians, engineers, and professionals in the skills necessary for success in the field of Internet technology.

The WCPSS Regional Networking Academy is a Cisco Regional Networking Academy. We are the instruction center for local academies located within the Wake County Public School System. As a regional academy we instruct teachers from local academies on teaching the Cisco Networking Academy on-line curriculum. The local academy teachers then teach the Cisco Networking Academy Curriculum to students at their individual schools.
